Tasty, healthy and quick to make, avocado hummus recipe for your consideration. I don’t make avocado hummus very often, as none of my children likes avocado in general and unfortunately. But couldn’t miss the chance to share it with you, plus who could waste these good ripe veggies, not me !

Ingredients 

Avocado Hummus Recipe by Heghineh

1 can (436 grams) garbanzo beans, washed ,drained

1 large or 2 medium ripe avocados

3-4 medium garlic cloves (you can add more or less to your taste)

The juice and zest of 2-3 medium lemons

1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil




1 1/2 tbs tahini paste, I have a tutorial for it

⅓ tsp ground cumin

1 tbs sour cream or strained yogurt, optional, I didn’t add it

1/4 tsp cayenne (optional)

1 tsp sea salt (add more or less to your taste)

If hummus turns out too thick, add a bit more oil, lemon juice or water

Directions 

Avocado Hummus Recipe by Heghineh

Simply combine all ingredients in food processor, pulse until smooth and creamy consistency

Scrape once or twice to make sure it’s all blended nicely

You can garnish with a splash of olive oil, sprinkle with chili pepper flakes, fresh or dried greens

Avocado hummus can be stored in fridge for over a week.
