This may be the easiest Napoleon recipe you’ve ever tried , not to mention: the tastiest. I make this kind of Napoleon, just because of its simplicity and quickness , plus my girls love helping me with making them and it’s usually ready within a short period of time.

Ingredients 

Easy Napoleon Recipe by Heghineh

For pastry layers

One pack (10 pcs) squares (5”x5”) , cut into triangles

Baking pans lined with parchment paper

For caramel buttercream

1 can caramel sweetened condensed milk ( Dulce de leche )

200 grams unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

You will also need powdered sugar to dust the tops

Directions

To make layers

Preheat the oven to 400° F/ 200° C degrees

Bake the puff pastry dough 28-30 minutes or until golden color , set aside to cool down

To make the buttercream

In a mixing bowl beat the butter until pale and fluffy

Lower the speed and add the caramel, a tablespoon at a time

Remember to stop and scrape

Lastly add the vanilla extract

Assembling the Napoleons

Crush a few pieces into crumbles, place into a bowl, set aside

Cut through the triangle puff pastry, spread the buttercream and stick the pieces together

Spread the cream on the sides and on the top

Tumble in crumbs, dust with confectioners sugar, refer to YouTube tutorial for more details

For better taste allow the Napoleons to set, I place them in the fridge for an hour or so
