Palmiers French Cookies

Ingredients:

Two sheets of 10”x15” rectangle shape puff pastry, thawed (smaller or bigger size dough will work as well)

Approx. 1 to ¾ cup granulated white sugar (1 tsp cinnamon, brown sugar can be used for additional flavor)

Directions: 





Preheat oven to 400 F / 205 C

Generously sprinkle both sides of pastry with sugar

Lightly roll with rolling pin over the sugar to seal

Roll up the two sides until they meet in the center of the dough and fold into a log shape

Tip:If the dough gets too warm while working, wrap it with plastic and put in the fridge for 15-20 minutes

Remove from the fridge and with a sharp knife slice into approx. 1cm slices

Line baking sheet with parchment paper

Place sliced pieces on the baking pan 3” apart

Bake for 7 minutes on each side (14 minutes total bake time)

Remove from baking sheet while it’s still hot (it may stick if left too long)
