Tart Crust Recipe

Simple tart crust recipe, before I share a few of my tart versions. I’ve been experimenting on tart recipes recently, and came up with a few really tasty tarts that I can’t wait to share. Then I thought I’d better share the tart crust recipe and tutorial first, so that I don’t have to film it each time I make tart tutorial video. And trust me, I have quite a few interesting variations of tarts.

Tart Crust Recipe

Ingredients

150 grams unsalted butter, at room temperature

½ cup confectioners sugar

1 ½ cups all purpose flour

Pinch of salt

You will also need a 10″ tart pan and pie weights, I use regular dry beans

Directions

Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy

Add the salt and flour, lightly mix on low speed

Press the tart dough evenly and firmly to the pan

Let it sit in the fridge 25-30 minute to harden, do not place it in freezer, it may crack as it bakes

Preheat the oven to 350°F/ 180° C degrees

Line the tart shell with parchment paper and place the pie weights (or beans) on top

Bake 30 minutes, then carefully remove the paper with the weights and bake another 15 minutes

Let the tart shell cool down, then place it on top of a cup or jar to remove it from tart tin
