Easy Quick Baklava Recipe
This version of easy quick baklava recipe can be considered the fastest ,easiest and least time consuming .Total prepping and baking time about an hour.The result is very good looking,glossy and of course tasty pastry,one of my childhood favorites.
I like baking this baklava especially for our New Year’s table, or for any special occasions,it looks very festive and can make any dessert setting look special.
I love using different toasted nuts when making baklava.My favorite mix will be : toasted walnuts, slivered almonds and pecans, but any kind will work just as perfect. And of course baklava is known for its specific flavor and sweetness. I personally avoid using sugar in my easy quick baklava recipe.Will use only minimum and rely on honey sweetness only.
Here comes the easy quick baklava recipe with puff pastry ,nuts and honey.

Ingredients
3 7″x10″ puff pastry dough layers
1 ½ cups toasted chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds or pecans ,at your preference)
1 Large egg, separated
¼ Cup granulated white sugar
¼ Tsp cinnamon
¼ Tsp clove powder
¾ Cup honey ,warmed for easy pouring
Directions
Preheat oven 350 F/180 C degree
Whisk the egg white until it’s foamy , add sugar a little at a time until meringue forms
Add chopped nuts,cinnamon,clove powder and mix to combine
Divide the filling into 2 portions
Place the first pastry dough layer in 9″x13″ baking pan
Add half of the nut/meringue mixture and spread evenly
Place second layer on top and add the rest of filling ,spread and place the last layer
Brush the top with egg yolk
Using a sharp knife slice into diamond shapes
Place whole almonds or walnuts on top of each diamond to decorate (optional)
Bake 45 minutes or until golden color
Remove from the oven and pour warmed honey over covering entire baklava
Let it cool down , slice and enjoy!

Понадобится готовое слоёное тесто 750 г, 3 листа
Начинка
Белок от 4-5 яиц
¾ ст сахару
Ванилин
Корица, гвоздика, кардамон по вкусу
400-450 г грецкие орехи
2 ст мёд
Желтки смазать перед выпечкой
Печь при 180°С , 40-45 минут
