Almond Brittle Recipe
I can’t even think of what to write or how to describe these delicious snacks called almond brittle . A quick made snack that takes only 2 ingredients and approximately 7-10 minutes of your time. As simple as that. I really like these with my poached pears or just with my cup of Armenian coffee. Such a treat!
Getting to probably the shortest recipe in my blog:
Almond brittle on our dessert menu
Ingredients
1 cup of raw almonds
1 cup of white granulated sugar
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon ( or and flavorful spice you prefer: cardamom, clove …)
You will also need a non stick cooking spray and a baking pan
Directions
Start by preparing the baking pan, because the ready brittle hardens pretty quickly and you want to be prepared
Simply drizzle the pan with cooking spray and set aside (granite countertop or silicon mat will work as well)
Place the sugar and almonds in fry pan and cook over the medium heat by stirring constantly
The mixture should start melting and turning into light amber color
Turn off the heat when all the sugar has melted and the mixture turned brownish color
Entire cooking time should take 7-10 minutes
Pour the mixture onto prepared pan and flatten
Let it cool 10-15 minutes and simply crack into smaller pieces
