My Baking Ideas
Day 7,last post for my homemade bread recipe challenge
I wanted to finish it with something unique, so here it comes : the most bright colored bread I’ve ever baked.
Really good looking and tasty at the same time, bread made with cooked then pureed beets. Not much to add ,so let’s get to my homemade bread recipe .
Happy baking!

Directions
Start by cooking the beets:peel, cut and cook until tender
Save ½ cup of the beet juice
Using a food processor puree the beets along with the juice and water
Mix a few minutes to incorporate (it should be approx 1¾ -2 cups mixture)
In a mixing bowl combine all the dry ingredients :flour, yeast and salt
Add the beet mixture and oil to the dries and mix until smooth dough forms
Place the dough into a greased bowl to rest and rise (50-60 minutes)
Transfer the dough into floured surface and knead for 3-5 minutes
Return to the greased bowl for second rise or until doubled in size

Before baking ,using a sharp knife make a few slices on the top
