My absolute favorite Concord grape preserves. Easy to make and will last for a long time .
Only a few simple ingredients for this deliciousness.
Here we go!
To each one cup of boiling hot water you’ll add ¾ cup granulated white or cane sugar
Juice of one medium size lemon
As for the grape amount go to your preference: add more for thicker preserves ( about ½ lbs to 1 cup syrup) or less
Directions
In a heavy saucepan combine water and sugar
Bring to a boil, add lemon juice, reduce the heat and simmer 7-10 minutes or until syrup slightly thickens
Remove of the heat and add grapes , make sure grapes are fully immersed in syrup
Allow to cool down completely
Place the pan back on stove and bring to a slow boil
Note* do not use a spoon to stir , but simply swivel the pot !!!
Cook another 2-3 minutes
Poor ready grape preserves in clean sanitized jars and cover the lids
