Nutella Bread Recipe
Decided to do a quick experiment with bread dough and baked delicious, light, fluffy Nutella bread and crescent rolls. Kids devoured that Nutella bread within minutes and asked for more.
Since I just uploaded the tutorial for the bread, I thought , I’ll go ahead and share this Nutella bread idea as well. I’m sure many would want to give this a try and hopefully share feedback. You can tag me on your instagram or Facebook posts. I’m always happy to see your work and hear from you!
Happy baking!
Ingredients
1 ⅓ cups water, lukewarm
⅓ cup milk, I used 2% milk
2 tbs melted butter
1 ½ tsp instant yeast, if using active dry yeast, be sure to activate in warm water before adding
1 ½ tsp salt, I use kosher
2 tsp sugar
3 cups flour, may need more for dusting, kneading
You will also need a half sheet baking pan, lined with foil or parchment paper
Optionally you may need 1 beaten egg, if you decide to egg wash crescent rolls, refer to YouTube tutorial for more details
1 cup or a bit more Nutella spread
Directions
In a large bowl combine all your ingredients (except the egg and sesame seeds)
Mix and knead to a non sticky, soft dough
Place the dough into lightly greased bowl, cover with plastic or a damp towel
Place in a warm place and let it proof, double in size
Put the dough onto a lightly floured work surface, punch out the air and divide your dough into 6 balls, you will need 3 balls to make the crescent rolls
Roll out each ball into 10” diam. disc
Spread Nutella and place the second layer, repeat
Don’t spread Nutella on third layer
Using a pizza knife cut into 6 triangles and roll starting from the widest side, refer to YouTube tutorial for more details
Allow the rolls to proof in a warm place, around 25-30 minutes
Preheat the oven to 375° F/190° C degrees
Egg wash and bake 20-25 minutes or until golden color ( bake the baguettes at 400°F degrees 18 -20 minutes)
Allow to cool down 5-10 minutes and enjoy!
