Soft Dinner Rolls Recipe
Ingredients
½ Cup warm whole milk
½ Cup warm water
1 Tbs/one pack instant dry yeast (if using active dry yeast,make sure to activate before adding to the flour,just pour it into milk and let it to activate for 4-6 minutes)
1 Tbs sugar
1 Tbs salt
2 Tbs melted butter (or vegetable oil)
1 Large egg beaten
3 Cups all purpose flour
(1 Tbs melted butter for brushing the tops/optional)
Directions
In a large bowl combine flour, yeast, and salt set aside
In another bowl mix together :milk,water,egg ,butter and sugar
Start adding the milk-water mixture to flour-yeast mixture and knead until its non sticky elastic dough
Grease a large bowl and transfer the dough to that bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let it rest/rise until it doubles in size, about 45min to an hour
After an hour remove the dough onto your clean working surface and punch the air out.
Divide the dough into 12 portions and roll into balls
Line a 9×13 baking dish with wax or parchment paper and place the balls on the dish about an inch apart
Brush the tops with melted butter and cover with plastic wrap for second rise,another 20-25 minutes
Bake in 375 F preheated oven about 17-20 minutes or until they turn nice and golden color
