Warm Spinach Salad Recipe

Perfect warm spinach salad for Easter table. Or in general. Another great, healthy and delicious appetizer from Armenian cuisine. Anytime you crave comfort food that takes a few minutes to make, this warm spinach salad can come to rescue, of course if you like spinach, unlike my children.







This is one of those “make and serve “ quick appetizers that can be done within a few minutes. It’s served warm, but cold salad taste just as good.

This will make a great pita or lavash wrap and my personal favorite way to eat this is with a side of fresh tomatoes and feta.

Warm Spinach Salad Recipe - Armenian Cuisine

Ingredients 

A package of baby spinach (16 oz or more)

Boiling hot water

Salt

For dressing 

1 tbs white balsamic or distilled vinegar

2 tbs olive oil

⅓ tsp ground black pepper




¼ tsp ground red chili or cayenne

2-3 garlic cloves , minced or finely chopped

Directions 

Immerse spinach in boiling hot water , add salt , stir and set aside while you make the dressing

To make the dressing

Simply combine all ingredients and stir to incorporate

Remove the spinach from hot water

Squeeze off extra liquid

Pour the dressing over, toss and serve
