My absolute favorite :delicious oatmeal bread with whole wheat flour
Pretty easy Homemade bread recipe
I’d say , and it always turns out just perfect. We never have leftovers for any of my homemade bread, this one in particular . I used drought beer to add a specific dip nutty flavor and dark color, would suggest to keep that ingredient to have better tasting bread. I mentioned in the recipe about the yeast, I always use instant yeast for breads, if you don’t have it on hand , make sure to activate active dry yeast in 1/4 cup warm water 4-6 minutes or until it’s foamy . Another tip ,when placing the bread in the oven drop 1-2 ice cubes in the bottom of your hot oven and close the oven door immediately , that with form steam and it’ll help to have a better crust for your bread.

Ingredients
4 Cups whole wheat flour (you can substitute 1 cup with regular all purpose flour)
1 Pack /7 grams instant dry yeast (if using active dry make sure to activate in warm water)
2 Tbs brown sugar
1Tbs kosher salt
⅔ Cup oatmeal flakes +2-3 Tbs for sprinkling the tops
1 Cup warm water
¾ Cup drought beer (dark beer) at room temperature
2 Tbs vegetable oil
1 Egg white +1tbs water for egg wash (can substitute with tbs honey – tbs water mix,optional)
Wat to use instead of beer
You can just omit it and add 1/2 cup water,however , beer gives a really rich , nutty taste to this bread,if you know any other similar drink, try to replace it with that drink instead of water
