Cheese Stuffed Pastry Recipe
Quick , easy and quite filling appetizer with cheese stuffed pastry dough.
Many call it khachapuri, which means cheese bread in Georgian .
Those who try to keep a healthy food diet, may skip this cheese pastry or try it very rarely.
It’s delicious and may become a favorite quick to make appetizer.
This may be a good idea for breakfast, it’ll keep you going for hours .

Ingredients
A pack of pre made puff pastry dough , usually it comes in 10 pcs of 5”x5” dough squares
120 g mozzarella
100 g fontina or feta cheese, or any slightly salty cheese
1 good tbs cottage cheese
1 large egg
Optionally you can spice the cheese mixture with red and black pepper, dried or fresh herbs, such as mint , parsley or cilantro
You will need another egg , separated
Yolk + 1 tbs milk, for egg wash
Whites for brushing the sides before folding pastry dough
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375° F
Line a baking pan with parchment paper
Prepare the cheese mixture by combining and mixing together cheeses and egg
Stuff each pastry dough square with cheese mixture, about 1 tbs for each
Brush the sides with egg whisked whites and gold into a triangle, see YouTube tutorial for more detailed instructions
Brush the tops with egg yolk and milk mixture
Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden color
Serve warm or cold
