Fattoush Salad Recipe
My all time favorite from middle eastern foods , fattoush salad.
A simple veggie salad that’s also very filling, since it got the most delicious, crispy, crunchy pita chips as one of the main ingredients.
Everyone makes fattoush in their own way. I’ll quickly put down a quick and easy recipe for my version. If you watch the YouTube tutorial video, you’ll realize how simple it is to make and won’t even need to go by an exact recipe.

Ingredients
For pita chips
2 small or a large pita bread, you can always use the store bought, but homemade taste much better
1 tbs olive oil
A pinch of sea salt
Veggies & herbs
1 branch of romaine lettuce
4-6 red radishes
2 medium, fresh cucumbers
2 medium tomatoes
5-6 strings of scallion, or 1 small onion
2-3 tbs chopped parsley
1-2 tbs finely chopped fresh mint
Dressing
The zest and juice of 2 medium or small lemons
¼ cup olive oil
½ tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp sumac
1-2 garlic cloves, minced
Directions
To make the pita chips
Cut the bread into bite size diamond, square or rectangle pieces
Drizzle with olive oil and salt, toss
Toast in preheated non stick skillet or 375°F oven, until golden color
Set aside to cool down
Chop and slice the veggies and herbs, refer to YouTube tutorial for more details
To make the dressing
Simply combine all ingredients and whisk with a fork
Mixing the salad
When ready to serve, pour the dressing over the sliced veggies, toss
Serve with pita chips

Պիտա հացը կտրատել, ավելացնել աղ, ձիթապտղի յուղ
Չորացնել (թխել) 10-15 րոպե, 180°C, նախապես տաքացված ջեռոցում
