Shok Manje Recipe
I consider shok manje a vintage dessert, that was quite popular back in 80’s .
It’s a light chocolate mousse made with eggs, butter and cognac.
Several recipes for this same dessert, this one is from one of my dear followers Mariam Avetisyan.

Ingredients
4 large eggs , separated
¾ cup sugar , divided half for yolks the rest for whites
100 g semisweet chocolate chips
50 g unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbs rum or cognac
Set in fridge overnight
Serve topped with berries
Directions
Melt butter and chocolate together and set aside to cool down
Wisk half of the sugar with yolks until pale and fluffy
In another bowl combine egg white and the rest of sugar and beat until stiff pick
Add cooled chocolate butter mix to yolks and fold gently
Add rum and vanilla
Start folding in the whites a good tablespoon at a time
Fold everything gently until incorporated and there are no lumps in the mixture
Pour the mousse into small dessert cups or glasses
Set in the fridge overnight
