Shpot Recipe
Traditional Armenian sweet Shpot made with a few simple ingredients : grape molasses, flour , water , spiced with ground cinnamon, cloves and cardamom .
Shpot is served with nuts: walnuts, almonds , apricot seeds or hazelnuts . Back in Armenia , this uniquely tasting sweet is made in large pots, over slow burning fire.
Many women would gather to make Shpot , they take turns to stir that heavy and sweet mixture to the right consistency.
